Don't Just Think Big, Think Greatness!

Tonight, a friend and I were hanging out by the fire at a coffee house just catching up. By the time we were getting ready to leave and got up we were getting a bit dizzy from the heat. My friend didn't want to leave the cafe to step outside into the freezing cold. I said to her: "Well, let's believe for a remote starter for our next car."
"Naw, I'm not doing that. I'm believing that next year around this time I'll be somewhere warm."
"Haha! Yes, may it be done unto you according to your faith."As I was driving home I thought about what my friend had said and I remembered:"
Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."
(Matthew 8:10)

It made me realize that everyone of us decides for ourselves where we're headed and what we are allowing ourselves to receive. In a kingdom where all things are possible we are the only ones holding the power to limit us.

Are you going after the highest gifts, the Father's best? What are you believing God for?

In His Service,

C

  2. Indeed! Think greatness is something we all should do...
BTW, Do you use sites like zazzle.com, cafepress. com, fiverr? They could be a good way to promote your works and to help "remove" stupidity in the streets like headlines on t-shirts, fridge-magnets, cups, etc: My Boyfriend kisses Better Than Yours, FBI - female body inspector, etc. Not everything we see and think of should be about sex, right? It would be much better if there were more nice pictures of mythical creatures, good thoughts, poems from fantasy genre, etc? I'm allanbard there, I use some of my illustrations, thoughts, poems from my books (like: One can fight money only with money, Even in the hottest fire there's a bit of water, etc). Best wishes! Let the wonderful noise of the sea always sounds in your ears! (a greeting of the water dragons'hunters - my Tale Of The Rock Pieces).

  3. I can't say I really agree with you here, Clarissa. I think we can plan for and believe in great things, but we have to leave room for the Lord's will in our lives. Paul WANTED to go to the Romans but said he'd been prevented from doing so. I don't think the problem was that he didn't believe enough, but that God had other plans in store. I'm not saying we shouldn't ask for the great things but I don't think as a Christian I chart the course of my own life, but rather submit it to what Christ wants for me.
